Description
Due to the possibility of rattan drying out if it just sits around, we don’t keep a lot of rattan in stock already made up. We make it when you place the order and the process takes several business days to complete. Further, dyed rattan takes a few more days than regular rattan before it’s ready to mail because in addition to the soaking process, it has to be dyed 3 times, then coated and sealed to prevent getting stain/dye on your skin. This process takes a few more days. So… dyed rattan canes can take 7-12 business days before they’re ready to ship. We apologize for the inconvenience, but… this is the process.
Also, we do our best to straighten rattan. Again, it’s a naturally growing reed and even after putting it in a vice, steaming it and letting it harden straight, once we put it through the soaking/oiling process, once it starts to settle, it can begin to slightly curve back to the way it grew. We try to catch this, but sometimes it doesn’t start to do that until it leaves us. We can’t prevent that, but… it works just fine regardless. 🙂
