Description
Due to the possibility of rattan drying out if it just sits around, we don’t keep a lot of rattan in stock already made up. We make it when you place the order and the process takes several business days to complete. We apologize for the inconvenience, but… this is the process.
Also, we do our best to straighten rattan. Again, it’s a naturally growing reed and even after putting it in a vice, steaming it and letting it harden straight, once we put it through the soaking/oiling process, once it starts to settle, it can begin to slightly curve back to the way it grew. We try to catch this, but sometimes it doesn’t start to do that until it leaves us. We can’t prevent that, but… it works just fine regardless. 🙂
Please note: Due to the exorbitant amount of time it takes, as well as the lack of popularity, we have decided to discontinue making dyed rattan canes. Thank you for understanding.
